Nighttime Hydrant Flushing Continues In Belleville: See Latest Spots

Some Belleville residents may see discolored water and/or low pressure from Sept. 5 to Sept. 19 (here's where).

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Belleville will be flushing fire hydrants in two locations from 9 p.m. to midnight beginning on Thursday, Sept. 5 and continuing until Thursday, Sept. 19.

The flushing may cause discolored water and/or low pressure in the following areas, according to a municipal advisory:

  • Union Ave to Main Street
  • Greylock Parkway to Nutley border

Nighttime hydrant flushing has also been taking place in other parts of town, including Mill Street to Joralemon Avenue and Washington Avenue to Main Street, where it began last week and is expected to last until Sept. 11.
