Nutley Cops Issue 67 Traffic Summonses During Local Safety Enforcement

Nutley, NJ – The Nutley Police Department has released the totals from its recent local enforcement of the Street Smart NJ Safety Campaign.

The Street Smart NJ Safety Campaign is a cooperative campaign coordinated by multiple federal and state agencies that aims to “promote safe travel behavior by motorists and pedestrians through a combination of education and enforcement.”

On Monday, the NPD announced that local enforcement efforts conducted last week resulted in:

• 67 traffic summons for failure to yield to pedestrians
• 1 cellphone summons
• 1 summons for unlicensed driver
• 34 verbal warnings
