Nutley Home May Have Been Damaged By Large Tire: Police

Nutley Police: A large truck tire apparently smashed into a fence and an AC unit valued at $3,800.

NUTLEY, NJ — A Nutley home suffered damage to an outside air conditioning unit last week. Police found a large truck tire and rim in the area, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to a local home on Nov. 16 after receiving a report about property damage. On arrival, the homeowner told officers that they found a large tire in their backyard, which apparently struck and damaged their fence and central A/C unit.

The officers observed that a large truck tire and rim had apparently smashed into the fence and AC unit, which had a large indentation on the one side “consistent with being damaged from the impact of the tire,” police said.
