Nutley Police Administer Narcan To People Twice In 2 Days
Nutley police administered Narcan, a drug commonly used to reverse overdoses, to two people this week, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police administered Narcan, a drug commonly used to reverse overdoses, to two people over a two-day span this week, authorities reported Friday.
The Nutley Police Department released the following details about each incident:
Aug. 24 – “Police responded to Washington and Hancox in response to an unconscious male. When police arrived, a man was laying on the hood of a parked vehicle unresponsive. Police administered Narcan, at which time the man regained consciousness. He then was transported to an area hospital for treatment.”

Aug. 25 – “Police responded to a residence having an open front door. When officers investigated, they found an unresponsive female with agonal breathing. Officers administered first aid including a Narcan deployment. She was then transported to an area hospital for treatment.”
