The Belleville Recreation Department held its opening day ceremony Saturday, April 30, at Municipal Stadium, located on the campus of Belleville High School.
Hundreds of boys and girls -- representing baseball, softball and T-ball teams of several different age brackets -- filed onto the turf at the Municipal Stadium field.
The teams represented Saturday are:
Tee Ball: Dodgers, Indians, Mets, Reds, Yankees and White Sox.
Peanut League: Astros, Bears, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers, Expos, Marlins, Orioles, Tigers and Yankees.
Junior League: Belleville Education Assocition, PBA Local 28, Cooperative Communications, Michael’s Roscommon House, Nanina’s in the Park, Rafferty Landscaping, Rita’s Italian Ice, State Fair, Signature Fitness and Vac-U-Max.
Intermediate League: Algieri’s Pizza, Bradley Tire, Tigers, Yankees, The Chandelier, L and J Prooductions, Retro Fitness
Pee Wee Softball: Angels, Giants, Mets and Phillies
Pigtail League: PBA Local 28, FMBA Local 29, Belleville Patch, IMAC Insurance, Rita’s Italian Ice and Talbot Electric
Ponytail League: Brunswick Zone, MAN Construction, Megaro Memorial, Local 28, Solar Do Minho and Quik Check
