WATCH: Belleville Fire Destroys Residents' Home
Belleville firefighters said that the 4-alarm blaze, the town's 2nd home-razing fire in 2 weeks, left several people displaced.
A four-alarm fire on Heckel Street in Belleville left several local residents without a home on Saturday, authorities reported.
Capt. Scott Wentworth of the Belleville Fire Department told NJ.com that the blaze began around 10:30 p.m., and burned for 90 minutes before firefighters placed it under control.
Several people were displaced in the fire but none were injured, NJ.com stated.

At one point, flames erupted from an upper floor of the building in an apparent flashover. [See below video]
According to authorities, the blaze also spread to and damaged a nearby building before being knocked down.

No information was available about the possible cause of the fire.
Saturday’s fire was the second serious home fire in Belleville in two weeks. On Nov. 28, a fire razed a home on Belleville Avenue, displacing several residents and reportedly killing a family dog.
