ā¢ Avid angler dies after boat takes on water on Delaware River (lehighvalleylive.com) ā A 69-year-old angler drowned Friday evening on the Delaware River near South Foul Rift Road, just outside Belvidere, after his small fishing boat reportedly capsized while he tried to free a stuck anchor. The river at Belvidere was running higher than usual, and his family believes the strong current prevented him from reaching shore. State Police continue to investigate.
