District leaders say the result showcases Berkeley Heights’ strong commitment to STEM education and the hard work of these eight standout students and their advisor. 
• UCNJ Board Chairman Victor Richel Awarded Honorary Doctorate from Kean University (tapinto.net) — A longtime Berkeley Heights resident, Victor M. Richel has been awarded an honorary doctorate from Kean University for decades of leadership in higher education and community service. The UCNJ board chairman has also supported local students through the Richel Family Foundation’s scholarships and continues encouraging more Berkeley Heights teens to consider Union College of Union County.
