$225K Grant Will Benefit Berkeley Township School District

The New Jersey Schools Development Authority grant will help replace a boiler at Bayville Elementary School.

BERKELEY, NJ — A grant will help the Berkeley Township School District replace a boiler in one of its schools, according to the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA).

“Through our partnership with local school districts, this funding helps to ensure all students
and school staff members across the State have access to high-quality learning environments
that support positive learning outcomes. By addressing important school building upgrade
projects, we are creating safe, healthy facilities for generations of young learners,” said SDA
CEO Manuel Da Silva.

The $225,561 grant is part of the $450 million in grant funding announced by the SDA and New Jersey Department of Education in Sept. 2023. The goal of the funding is to ensure students receive a strong education while relieving the pressure on local taxpayers, according to the SDA.
