24 Home Neighborhood Proposal To Go Before Berkeley Planning Board
Developers propose 24 single family homes and three HOA lots on nearly 12-acre empty lot on Station Road in Bayville.

BERKELEY, NJ — A public hearing this month is set this month for a new proposed subdivision on Station Road in Bayville.
The proposed 24 residential lots and three homeowners association (HOA) lots will go before the Berkeley Township Planning Board on April 20, according to a public notice.
It would be built at 99 Station Road, a nearly 12 acre empty lot of land surrounded by existing houses, according to public records. The lot currently is primarily trees.

Developers are asking for several variances regarding lot frontage. For separate lots, where 100 feet of frontage is required, they ask to instead provide 79.89 feet, 88.05 feet, 79.82 feet, 73.94 feet and 10 feet.
They also are seeking design waivers for an environmental assessment and environmental impact statement.

Back in September, the Planning Board approved another 24-home neighborhood behind St. Barnabas Church. However, those houses are being built on about 45 and a half acres of land, as opposed to the 11 acres here. Read more: 24 New Homes Planned For Bayville Behind Catholic Church
The Planning Board meets at 6 p.m. on April 20 at the Berkeley Township Municipal Building (627 Pinewald-Keswick Rd.).
