8 Busted For Heroin, Meth Operation Near Bayville School: Police

Police received several neighborhood complaints about possible drug dealing out of the Chain Boulevard home.

BERKELEY, NJ — Eight people were accused of involvement in a drug-dealing operation out of a Berkeley home. Police searched the Chain Boulevard house and found heroin, methamphetamine and marijuana packaged for sale, authorities said.

Police received several neighborhood complaints about possible drug dealing out of the home, which is near Bayville Elementary School. Authorities obtained a search warrant and conducted the search at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Along with the drugs, police said they also discovered paraphernalia typically used for drug deals.

Eight people were charged with the following, according to Berkeley police:

Allen Hill, 31, of Chain Boulevard:

  • heroin possession
  • possession of heroin with intent to distribute
  • possession of heroin with intent to distribute within 500 feet of a school
  • possession of counterfeit money
  • possession of hypodermic needles
  • marijuana possession
  • placed in Ocean County Jail

Michael Masi, 37, of Chain Boulevard:

  • possession of a weapon (brass knuckles)
  • possession of a hypodermic syringe
  • marijuana possession
  • placed in Ocean County Jail

Tara Grande, 38, of Toms River:

  • heroin possession
  • possession of a hypodermic syringe
  • drug paraphernalia possession
  • released on a summons

Sylwia Kalinowski, 34, of Chain Boulevard:

  • possession of brass knuckles
  • possession of a hypodermic syringe
  • marijuana possession
  • released on a summons

Michael Centofanti, 33, of Beachwood:

  • heroin possession
  • drug paraphernalia possession
  • placed in Ocean County Jail

Philip Donofrio Jr, 35, of Toms River:

  • outstanding warrant in Monmouth County for failure to appear in court on a weapons charge
  • transferred to Monmouth County

Amy Ferraro, 46, of Chain Boulevard:

  • outstanding warrant out of Egg Harbor Township for shoplifting
  • transferred to Egg Harbor Township police

Maryann Garcia, 39, of Barnegat:

  • heroin possession
  • drug paraphernalia possession
  • possession of a hypodermic needle
  • released on a summons
