Anthony 'Butchie' Kurnel III, Retired Berkeley Police Lieutenant, Dies At 55
A prayer service will be held at Masterpeter Funeral Home in Bayville on Tuesday

Anthony "Butchie" Kurnel III, 55, of Bayville died on September 1, 2016.
He was born in Toms River and lived most of his life in Bayville. Butchie was a 1979 graduate of Central Regional High school. He was a retired lieutenant from the Berkeley Township police department. He loved John Wayne and spending time with his family. His favorite saying was a John Wayne quote "Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway," and "Na to Bitter".

Butchie is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Christine; his three beautiful children, Leanna, Anthony (Budger) and Kirsten and grandson, Anthony Tyler Cothren; his siblings Leigh Mcelroy(husband Tom), Bobbi Dawn( husband Steve), Don (wife Jenny), Jim(wife Michelle) and his beloved "Sis", Sharon Chester Britton; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721. A Prayer Service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 2:30pm.
