Anybody See A Tornado Near Berkeley?

A tornado warning was issued for Ocean County early Wednesday, but there were no reports that the weather disturbance actually touched down in Ocean County.

At 1:32 a.m., the National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was near Beach Haven on Long Beach Island, moving northeast at 20 mph, and could affect the entire county. Toms River put out its own alert.

The tornado was supposed to have hit the Manahawkin area around 2 a.m. and possibly pass through Ocean County in northeasterly direction, according to the NWS.
