Bayville School Gives Berkeley Officer A Nice Retirement Sendoff

BERKELEY, NJ — A Berkeley police officer received a nice sendoff for his retirement. Ptl. Michael Poikans retired after 25 years with the Berkeley Township Police Department.

Students at the Bayville School lined the halls and applauded Poikans, giving him high fives as he passed.

"Ptl. Poikans honorably and faithfully served his community and the residents of Berkeley Township for the past 25 years," the Berkeley Township Police Department wrote. "Patrolman Poikans, good look in the next chapter of your life. Thank you for your service you are appreciated."
