Beach And Surf Report: Don't Go In The Water

The National Weather Service is calling for 7 to 8-foot waves, high rip current risk.

Today is the last day lifeguards will be on duty on some beaches in Ocean County. Your best bet is to just look at the ocean, don’t go in it.

The National Weather Service is calling for waves of seven to eight feet, and a high rip current risk. Expect seven-foot swells from the east. The surf temperature is in the low 70s.

“High surf and large swells will produce dangerous pounding surf and rip currents at the beaches,” the NWS says. ”These rip currents will be life-threatening to anyone who enters the surf. Anyone visiting the beaches should stay out of the surf.”
