Berkeley Job Site Burglarized, Tools Found Inside Vehicle: Cops

The person with the tools said he purchased them in the parking lot of a convenience store. The matter is under investigation.

BERKELEY, NJ — A builder's job site in Berkeley was burglarized. The builder found some of his tools in a vehicle at the parking lot of Home Depot in Lacey.

Berkeley and Lacey police are conducting a joint investigation into the matter. Lacey police were dispatched to the Home Depot lot Thursday morning in reference to theft.

The possessor of the tools explained he recently bought them from an unknown individual in the parking lot of a convenience store. Shortly after, authorities discovered the builder's job site in Bayville was burglarized overnight.
