Berkeley Lots Donated To Habitat For Humanity
The lots, in the Manitou Park section of the township, will help Habitat for Humanity in its goal for affordable housing, officials said.
BERKELEY, NJ — Two lots in the Manitou Park section of Berkeley Township will be donated to Habitat for Humanity, according to a recent Township Council meeting.
An ordinance was introduced at the recent meeting authorizing the donation of two lots in Berkeley Township to Habitat for Humanity.
The two vacant lots, currently owned by the township, are Block 38, Lot 134 (23 Eleventh St) and Block 46, Lot 110 (224 Second Ave).

Non-profit housing organization Habitat for Humanity is seeking to expand its efforts in Manitou Park, the ordinance said. The lots will be donated to help fulfill that mission.
Manitou Park, located off the Garden State Parkway next to South Toms River, is home to a lot of the township's affordable housing.
