Berkeley Officials: Prepare For Moderate To Major Flooding Near Barnegat Bay

Residents can park their vehicles in the lower lot of the Central Regional Middle School in Bayville.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP - The Office of Emergency Management is urging residents who live on or near Barnegat Bay to prepare for moderate to major flooding during high tide cycles on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Expect wind gusts of 35 to 50 miles per hour and higher tidal surges. Any residents who live on the water that need a place to park their vehicles can park in the lower lot in front of the Central Regional Middle School in Bayville.

Officials are also asking residents to secure outside household items, boats and outdoor furniture so they don’t become projectiles as storm winds increase.
