DonorsChoose.org gives teachers across America an opportunity to set up fundraisers that enhance their classrooms. The organization holds an A+ rating on Charity Watch.

Here are the fundraisers from Berkeley schools. Click each project for more information:

Wow! I Can't Believe That's My Seat!, Bayville School (expires March 14)

Mrs. Mitchell: "We are requesting Wobble Stools and Wobble Cushions that will allow for an appropriate level of movement while learning. These flexible seating options will be added to my classroom collection. With more options available, more students will benefit. I do not have any Wobble Stools or Wobble Cushions in my classroom collection of flexible seating. I can't wait to see the students' faces when these are added to the collection."

Let's Get Flexible, H&M Potter Elementary School (expires May 24)

Mr. Livingston: "I teach second grade because they are young enough to love school, love being in my class, and old enough to do some things by themselves. The students enthusiasm inspires me to be the best teacher I can be. This is why I have decided to make some changes and go to flexible seating. Studies have shown that children learn better in a flexible environment, rather than sitting at a desk for six hours a day."

Microsoft Go-Getters!, Potter (expires June 25)

Mrs. Miller: "How often do you use Microsoft as an adult? Chances are you use it often! I want to give my students the opportunity to use the Microsoft Surface Go to help excel them and excite them in class."

Continuing To Be Flexible!, Potter (expires July 4)

Mrs. Coletti: "My most recent project allowed me to expand my current flexible seating options to more students, but still does not allow for the entire class to have choice in where/how they learn. I have already seen the benefits in my students when they are allowed to choose where they work for the day. Students have been more productive, focused, and have been able to work more cooperatively since the implementation of flexible seating."

"If It's the Right Chair....", Potter (expires May 8)

Mrs. Groiss: "Help me give my students adjustable air lift office chairs to have comfortable alternative seating in our fourth grade classroom. ... My students enjoy learning in a space away from the traditional classroom desk. They also enjoy working together. My goal is to create two spaces in my classroom where students can come together daily to work on projects together."

Scratching the Surface of Electronic Learning, Potter (expires June 27)

Mrs. O'Brien: "With a Microsoft Surface in the classroom, possibilities are endless. In the classroom library, the device will not only allow students to search for a book by title or reading level, but also by interest level. This will help students find books that best suit their interests, creating a love of reading. Students will be able to further enhance learning by accessing educational podcasts to on certain topics to complete research."

Make Our Voices Magical!, Central Regional Middle School (expires May 2)

Mr. Mastropierro: "Help me give my students an electric voice processor for our classroom studio! ... This project will increase the joyful music-making experiences in my classroom. We already have the essential elements of a fully functioning recording studio, but we don't have any live vocal automation or effects. That's where this wonderful voice processor comes into the mix, the TC Helicon "Play Electric Voice Processor for Electric Guitarists"!"

Flexible Seating for Differentiated Learning, CRMS (expires June 15)

Mrs. Cunha: "Flexible seating allows students to choose between independent, partner, or small group seating options. The different seating options support movement within the classroom and allow students to choose appropriate seating in which they feel the most comfortable."

Let's Get Cozy!, Potter (expires July 4)

Mrs. Coletti: "Help me give my students the comfort of soft seating, and cozy carpets, so we can expand our learning environment."

We Heart Harps!, CRMS (expires May 2)

Mr. Mastropierro: "With this unique opportunity, the level of fun my students already have in my classroom can be increased a hundredfold! Many people do not have a chance to ever see or play a harp up close, and with this donation, I can provide this rare experience for my students. In addition to learning the specific playing techniques required, we can also learn about the history of the instrument and how and when it is used throughout classical music history as well as modern indie pop music compositions."
