Central Regional High School Track Dedicated To Award-Winning Coach

On June 4, the track at Central Regional High School will be dedicated to Steve Healey, legendary track and field coach.

BERKELEY, NJ — Central Regional High School is dedicating its track to legendary track and field coach Steve Healey.

The dedication will be held June 4 at 11 a.m. at the high school.

Healey spent 26 years as track and field head coach, from 1976 to 2001. He was inducted into the Central Regional High School Hall of Fame in 2002.

As head coach, Healey had 25 winning seasons, with a career record of 188-51. He was also inducted into the New Jersey State Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Simpson College Hall of Fame in 1985.

A brief ceremony will be held with former assistant coaches and athletes speaking.
