Central Regional Swimmer Corinne Mahoney Signs With Wingate University

Mahoney swims the 50 and 100 yard freestyle and the 200 individual medley.

Corinne Mahoney, a senior at Central Regional, signed a national letter of intent to continue her swimming career at NCAA Division II Wingate University in North Carolina.

Corinne, who signed her letter during the early signing period in November, swims the 50 and 100 freestyle and the backstroke for the Golden Eagles, who won Shore Conference Class B South this season. She set a school record for Central in the 200 individual medley this season, recording a 2:21.40 against Jackson Liberty. She was the NJ.com Ocean County Swimmer of the Year for the 2013-14 season.

Corinne also swims for the Ocean County YMCA and is a multi-time YMCA Nationals qualifier, according to the Swim Swam website.
