Child Injured In Central Regional Bus Accident: Police

The bus collided with a Seaside Heights Garbage Truck, according to police.

A boy on a Central Regional school bus was injured after the bus collided with a Seaside Heights Garbage Truck on Tuesday morning, according to police. Triboro First Aid Squad took the 13-year-old student to Community Medical Center after a complaint of minor injury, said Seaside Heights Police Detecive Steve Korman said.

While the bus sat at a red light, the truck hit it on the rear passenger-side bumper area at about 7:55 a.m. at Grant Avenue and the Boulevard, Korman said. He described the accident as minor.

A driver and 14 students were on the bus, according to Korman. Patrolman Shane Henderson is investigating the accident, Korman said.
