Christmas Tree Pick-Up Begins This Week In Berkeley

BERKELEY, NJ — Time to get rid of the Christmas tree? As of Jan. 3, Christmas tree pick-up has begun for Berkeley residents.

Trees should be placed curbside for pick-up, with all ornaments and hooks removed.

Some trees will be used for dune replenishment, according to township officials.

Residents also have the option to take their tree to the recycling center next to Public Works across from the police department Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Trees can also be brought to county parks through Jan. 31 to be turned into wood chips used locally. Click here for the nearest sites.
