Cops: Ocean Gate Man Charged With Touching Woman 'Offensively' In Pet Store

Franco Marrone, 60, charged with harassment, Lacey police chief says.

Lacey police recently arrested an Ocean Gate man and charged him with offensively touching a woman inside the PetValue store on Route 9 North in Forked River, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer George Resetar responded to the store on Nov. 17, after a woman reported that a male customer approached her in the store and inappropriately touched her, the chief said.

The victim immediately reported the incident to Lacey police. An investigation conducted by members of the Lacey Township Detective Bureau resulted in the arrest of Franco Marrone, 60, 708 Wildwood Avenue. He was charged with harassment (offensive touching) on Nov. 19, Paprota said.
