Document Shredding Program Returns: What To Know In Berkeley
Ocean County's popular Document Shredding Program returns this spring.
BERKELEY, NJ — March marks the return of Ocean County's popular Document Shredding Program, with several dates planned throughout the spring and fall seasons.
It kicks off in March in Lakewood, then runs through October. In total, 12 collections will be held.
Berkeley is the second on the schedule, with the date set for April 18 at County Road 530.

All events run 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or until truck fills.
Ocean County encourages residents to bring those documents that include sensitive information like bank account numbers or social security numbers that should not be tossed out in the trash. There is a limit of 4 boxes or clear bags totaling no more than 100 pounds of confidential documents per car.

Commercial documents are not accepted nor are newspapers, magazines, books, junk mail, greetings cards, photos, x-rays, CDs or shredded paper. Paper clips and staples do not have to be removed from documents that are shredded.
