Driver Ejected In Crash On Berkeley-Lacey Border: Police
The driver had to be airlifted after going off the road and hitting several trees in the single-vehicle crash, police said.

BERKELEY, NJ — A driver was ejected from his truck after leaving the road and hitting several trees on Tuesday afternoon, Berkeley police said.
Police received multiple 911 calls shortly before 4 p.m. on April 30 for the single-vehicle crash on Dover Road, in the area of the Lacey Township border.
When officers arrived, they found a gray Ford F-150 partially in the roadway with "extensive damage," police said. The driver, a 49-year-old man, was laying in the road, police said.

The truck had been heading south on Dover Road into Lacey when the driver went off the road and struck several trees along the wood-line, causing him to be ejected from the passenger side, police said.
He was responsive on the scene and had suffered head trauma from the crash, police said.

As a result, he was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson for further evaluation, police said. He is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck was later removed by Jersey Shoretowing without further incident, police said.
This incident is currently under investigation by Officer Bulwinski of the Berkeley Township Traffic Safety Bureau.
