Driver Ejected From Van In Berkeley Crash: Police

The two drivers involved in the crash were taken to the hospital by medevac, Berkeley police said.

BERKELEY, NJ — A driver was ejected from their van after crashing into another car Wednesday morning, Berkeley police said.

Both drivers in the two-vehicle crash were flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center via medevac, police said.

The accident happened shortly before 9 a.m. in the area of Double Trouble Road and the Garden State Parkway South entrance in Berkeley Township, police said.

A 2012 Honda Civic was heading southbound and turning left onto the Parkway entrance ramp when the car was struck by a 2009 Ford 250 Van heading northbound on Double Trouble Road, police said.

The driver of the Ford was ejected from the van from the impact of the crash, police said. Both drivers involved had multiple injuries, police said.

Both vehicles were disabled in the crash and towed by Priced Rite Towing, police said.

Patrolman Shoemaker and Patrolman Flanegan responded to the scene to investigate the incident on behalf of the Berkeley Township Traffic Safety Division and were assisted by Ocean County C.S.I., police said.

The accident closed Double Trouble Road and Parkway Exit 77 Wednesday morning.
