NEW JERSEY - Fishing access is limited at a Jersey Shore beach state park due to severe erosion, officials said in a Facebook post.
Fishing access will be closed at Island Beach State Park from A-23 North and A-19 South, beach officials wrote in the Friday statement.
A-21 walk over to the beach will also be closed and there will be no beach access from A-21. The parking lot will remain open, the post reads. All mobile sport fishing access vehicles entering A-23 can only proceed south to the jetty, officials added.

All mobile sport fishing vehicles entering A-7 can only proceed South to A-19, the post concluded.
Mobile sport fishing vehicle permits, which have sold out for the 2022 season at the state park, allow the permit holder to drive a 4x4 vehicle on the park’s beaches for the sole purpose of fishing. Passes start at $195 for New Jersey residents and $225 for out-of-state residents.
