Expect Smoke Smell At Double Trouble State Park Tuesday

If you visit Double Trouble State Park on Tuesday, expect smoke and poor air quality, officials said.

BERKELEY, NJ — If you're planning to visit Double Trouble State Park on Tuesday, expect to smell smoke and have slightly worse air quality, officials said.

Shifting winds have caused smoke from the Mullica River Fire to reach Double Trouble, officials wrote on Facebook.

Officials said that, to put it into perspective, Double Trouble covers around 9,000 acres.

"This is why we stress that there are no open flames in Double Trouble State Park," Double Trouble officials said.

Air quality in Berkeley Township on Tuesday is "poor," according to AccuWeather.

"A big shout out to the crew of B39, one of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service brush trucks from our section that we saw on CBS 3 news yesterday, and our thanks to all the paid and volunteer firefighters both fighting this wildfire and providing structural protection," Double Trouble officials said.
