Extensive Search For Missing Child In Berkeley

Police said Wednesday night that they are actively working to verify the report of a missing child.

BERKELEY, NJ — Berkeley police reported an extensive search Wednesday night for a report of a missing child. The child was reported missing at 5:30 p.m.

The search includes drones, K-9s, physical searches and "all available resources," according to a press release from Berkeley police.

"We want to let the public know that at this time we are still actively investigating with our law enforcement partners to verify the initial report made to police," Berkeley police said.

Police said that although it is appreciated, they do not need additional searches organized at this time.

No photo or information about the child was immediately provided. The report remains under investigation.
