Famous Berkeley Turkey Rescued, Gets Mayoral Pardon

Bimini Bob will begin his next chapter at the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area in Allentown.

BERKELEY, NJ — Bimini Bob has moved on to greener pastures. The turkey, who became a celebrity in his neighborhood, has been rescued and relieved of his legal woes.

The turkey spent months roaming the area of Bimini Drive, inspiring neighbors to name him "Bimini Bob."

The United States Department of Agriculture safety captured Bimini Bob on Jan. 14, according to Berkeley Mayor Carmen Amato. Officials safely relocated him to the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area in Allentown.

Amato also pardoned Bimini Bob for his traffic violations.
