BERKELEY, NJ — More than 3,200 administrators in New Jersey school districts make $150,000 or more per year, including some in local school districts, according to data from the state Department of Education released this month.

Patch pulled salary data that includes superintendents, principals and assistant principals, curriculum directors and other employees in administrative positions within New Jersey schools.

While no administrators in the Berkeley Township or Central Regional districts fall into the top 20 highest paid in the state, there are several who make more than $150,000, according to the data.

Berkeley Township School District

  • James Roselli (Superintendent) - $189,184
  • Daniel Prima (Principal, Berkeley Township Elementary School) - $156,300

Central Regional School District

  • Triantafillos Parlapanides (Superintendent) - $195,353 *NOTE: stepped down this year
  • Douglas Corbett (Assistant Superintendent) - $186,430 *NOTE: now acting superintendent, salary is now $200,764 through June 30, 2024 plus $100 per month as acting superintendent
  • Kevin O'Shea (Business Administrator/Board Secretary) - $184,710
  • Irene Marousis (Principal, High School) - $150,744
  • Darryl Heale (Assistant Principal, High School) - $150,557
