Issues Bring Vietnam-Era Vehicles To Island Beach State Park: Report
Two Vietnam-era amphibious vehicles came ashore at Island Beach State Park on Tuesday, according to a report.
BERKELEY, NJ — Two Vietnam-era amphibious vehicles came ashore at Island Beach State Park Tuesday after experiencing mechanical troubles, according to a report.
The huge privately owned vehicles, called "Wild Sally" and "Captain Jack," were traveling south from Staten Island and came ashore overnight, according to a report by NJ.com.
The vehicles were en route to Virginia when they experienced mechanical issues, the report said.

The vehicles were being repaired late Tuesday morning, the report said. Members of the State Park Police were also present.
Amphibious vehicles can travel on land and water. The report did not have any additional information about the vehicles.
