Lakewood Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of 15-Year-Old Girl
William H. Jenkins, 65, is lodged in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash bail

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office has charged a Lakewood man with the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl and endangering the welfare of a child, spokesman Al Della Fave said.
Special Victims Unit Detective Tom Tiernan and Lakewood Detective Chase Messer arrested William H. Jenkins, 65, in connection with the assault, which took place on Feb. 11, he said
Special Victims Unit Detective Stephanie Bayha and Sgt. Jason Steele assisted in the investigation by preparing search warrants for the suspect’s vehicle and residence. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department CSI processed the case evidence, Della Fave said.

Senior Assistant Prosecutor Christine Lento authorized the charges based on the completed investigation.Ocean County Superior Court Judge Rochelle Gizinski set Jenkins’ bail at $250,000, with no 10 percent option and ordered no contact with the victim, pursuant to Nicole’s Law. The defendant was taken to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of bail, he said.
