Berkeley Florist to Volunteer at Arlington National Cemetery

Volunteers throughout the nation joined together for the fourth year this Memorial Day to honor the nation’s fallen heroes by placing roses on graves at Arlington National Cemetery.

Owner Stacey Cofka of A Blossom Shop Florist in Bayville and her daughter, Shayla, participated in this nationwide Memorial Day Flowers program by distributing roses throughout Arlington National Cemetery for Memorial Day.

Cofka and other volunteers gathered over the two day period to distribute over 200,000 roses on graves and in fresh flower bouquets, which were handed to families to take home in remembrance.  Flowers farms from Ecuador, Colombia, Canada and the United States donated the flowers.
