Man Charged With 11 Car Burglaries In Berkeley: Police
The man stole from unlocked vehicles in senior communities, police said.

BERKELEY, NJ — A man was charged Friday with stealing from 11 Berkeley vehicles, police said. Thomas Sloan burglarized unlocked vehicles at night in the Holiday City and Silver Ridge Park senior communities, according to police.
Sloan, 33, of Saint Thomas Drive, was already in Ocean County Jail on unrelated charges. He was previously charged with burglary, theft and contempt, according to the Ocean County Jail database.
Police executed a search warrant on Sloan's home at about noon Friday. Authorities said they recovered stolen gift cards, jewelry and other personal items. Police also found drugs and associated paraphernalia.

Sloan was additionally charged with burglary, theft and drug paraphernalia, police said. More charges are expected as police process evidence.
