Man Found Passed Out In Car At 'The Cove' Charged With CDS Possession

Barnegat man admitted to being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

A Barnegat man is facing several charges after Berkeley police found him passed out in his vehicle in the parking lot of “The Cove” restaurant on Bay Boulevard recently, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Scott Rudolph, Patrolman Ryan Wahl, Patrolman Tim Pizzella, and Sergeant Alison Wray were dispatched to the restaurant at 10:54 p.m. on Dec. 27, the chief said.

When they arrived, Michael Reardon, 54, Westport Drive, admitted to being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, which was later found in the vehicle, DiMichele said.

Reardon was arrested, taken to Berkeley police headquarters, processed and later taken to his residence. He was issued a complaint summons and a motor vehicle summons for a future court date, the chief said.
