Person Stabbed In Berkeley Road Rage Incident: Police

The suspect fled the scene after the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said.

A man stabbed someone and fled the scene in Berkeley on Thursday night, police said. The suspect was arrested a half mile from the stabbing, which occurred on Veterans Boulevard near Harding Ave. at about 11 p.m., police said.

The suspect — Scott Moore, 55, of Elizabeth Avenue in Bayville — had cut wounds on his hands when police found him, according to authorities. The victim, who was not identified and stayed at the crime scene, was flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, police said. Moore was taken to Community Medical Center for minor injuries, according to police.

Moore was released from jail on a summons, police said. He was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful weapons possession, according to police. Police are still investigating the incident, according to authorities.
