BERKELEY, N.J. — Ashley Mazzuca puts in plenty of work behind the scenes at Central Regional High School. She's an English teacher, an advisor, and she's led fundraising initiatives that have raised over $5,000.

Central Regional High School named Mazzuca the Annual Renaissance Unsung Hero Award honoree. Mazzuca serves as advisor for the National Honor Society and the Class of 2021.

The school said Mazzuca "teaches our students the virtues of character, leadership, and service through the many community based projects she organizes, not to mention that she is a fundraising dynamo in each one."
