Meghan Koczon Dies Of Cystic Fibrosis At Age 30

Services for Pine Beach resident, active member of CF community, will be held on Friday and Saturday.

Meghan Koczon, 30, of Pine Beach, passed away on May 16, 2016 after a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Born in Toms River, she remained a resident of the Jersey Shore area throughout her life. She graduated from Rider University with a bachelor's degree in political science and obtained her master's degree in public policy from Monmouth University.

She was employed at J. Knipper in Lakewood, NJ. Meghan was an active member of the CF community, talking with parents of newly diagnosed children and a positive influence to the younger generation fighting the disease.

Meghan is survived by her husband of 6 ½ years Kenneth Koczon, her grandparents James and Eunice Brown and her parents Robert and Donna O'Donnell. She also leaves her three sisters, Bridget Bonica and her husband Michael, Casey O'Donnell, and Shannon O'Donnell. Meghan also had a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandparents Dorothy and Robert O'Donnell Sr.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday at held at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Condolences may be made by visiting www.andersonandcampbell.com.
