Memorial Gathering For Late Berkeley Township Police Officer Slated For Today
Service for Patrolman David J. Moody will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Co-workers, friend and family who want to pay their respects to Patrolman David J. Moody can do so today at a memorial gathering at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals in Bayville.
The gathering will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home at 706 Route 9 in Bayville.
Moody died on the night of April 5 at his Lacey Township home. He left behind his wife Eleanor and two daughters, Sophie Anne and Lorelai Ruth; his parents, Michael and Gay Moody of Manchester; his mother-in-law, Linda Wilson and many other family members, according to the funeral home.

He worked for the New Jersey State Department of Corrections, then the Ocean County Corrections Department before becoming a Berkeley Township police officer. He was an active member of the Berkeley Township Underwater Search and Rescue Squad, a volunteer firefighter for Toms River and Bayville and a paid EMT for Lakewood, Woodbridge and MONOC.
