New 'Safe Exchange Zone' Opens In Berkeley Township

Bought something online but want a neutral place to meet up with the seller? Berkeley police are now offering a safe exchange zone.

BERKELEY, NJ — Have you ever bought something online, but are wary of heading to a stranger's house to pick it up? Or do you need to meet with someone, and are looking for a neutral, safe spot to do so?

Mayor Carmen Amato and Berkeley Police Chief Kevin Santucci have announced the opening of a designated "Safe Exchange Zone," perfect for internet purchases.

The area is located at 627 Pinewald Keswick Road in Bayville, in marked areas of the parking lot between Town Hall and the police department.
