New Townhouse Development Proposed In Berkeley

Stonehill at Berkeley, LLC, proposes 24 two-story townhouses in five buildings.

BERKELEY, NJ — A proposed townhouse development will go before the Berkeley Township Zoning Board of Adjustment later this month.

Called Stonehill at Berkeley, LLC, the development will consist of 24 two-story townhouses in five buildings, according to public notice. Also built would be a retention basin and an outdoor pickleball court.

It would be built on the southerly side of Sloop Creek Road and across from North Stott Street.

A new street would be created connected to Sloop Creek Road.

The about 4.22 acre property was previously approved for an 11-lot single family subdivision. That would be withdrawn if the townhouses are approved.

Members of the public will be able to share their thoughts on this proposal at the March 25 Zoning Board meeting. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. It will be held at the Berkeley Township Municipal Building, 627 Pinewald Keswick Road.
