Pavone-Wilson, Dohn Take Hotly Contested Seats On Central Regional School Board

Board president, longtime board member Robert J. Everett Jr. fails to win a third term.

Former longtime board member Denise Pavone-Wilson was the top vote-getter in the contentious race for the two available Berkeley Township seats on the Central Regional Board of Education.

Pavone-Wilson - who served nearly four terms previously - received 2,369 votes, or 21.32 percent. George Dohn was second with 2,228 votes, or 20.05 percent.

Jason Mroczka - Dohn’s running mate - received 1,951 votes, or 17.56 percent. Debra J. Matthews - Pavone-Wilson’s running mate, received 2,133 votes, or 19.20 percent.

Board President Robert J. Everett Jr., failed to win a third term. Everett received 1,687 votes, or 15.18 percent. Former board member Nick Mackres received 737 votes, or 6.63 percnet.
