Pedestrian Struck, Dragged Along Pavement In Berkeley Crash: Police
The pedestrian entered the road where there wasn't a crosswalk and was hit by an oncoming Mazda who didn't see the man, police said.

BERKELEY, NJ — A man was badly injured and airlifted to the hospital after he was struck by a car while crossing the road, Berkeley police said.
The crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 near TD Bank in Bayville, police said in a news release.
The unidentified pedestrian was crossing the road from the east, where there wasn't a crosswalk, police said. He walked in front of a Mazda heading south on Atlantic City Boulevard and the driver, unable to see the pedestrian enter the road, crashed into him, police said.

He was "pushed through the air and dragged along the pavement" due to the collision, police said. The Mazda's windshield was shattered but it was otherwise undamaged.
Both the driver and passenger of the Mazda were uninjured, police said. The pedestrian suffered a severe facial laceration, a compound fracture to the right arm, a broken right leg and road burn all along the left side of his body, police said.

He was airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center for further evaluation, and his current status was not immediately available.
This crash is currently under investigation by Officer Slocum of the Berkeley Township Police Department.
