Possible Fatal Accident In Bayville Near Berkeley Plaza on Route 9
Two pedestrians struck, medical helicopter requested.
Trying to cross heavily-traveled Route 9 in Bayville near Berkeley Plaza has been a problem for years and the site of a number of pedestrian accidents..
Sadly, two pedestrians were struck about 10 p.m. this evening, while trying to cross the roadway, according to the Ocean County Police, Fire & EMS Facebook page.
The accident happened around 10 p.m. A medical helicopter was requested for one victim, the second victim was possibly killed in the accident. Motorists were asked to use caution and avoid the area.
