BERKELEY, NJ — Voters cast their choices at the polls on June 6 in the primary election, and Patch has the latest numbers.
This year, Berkeley residents will be electing a new mayor, and three Township Council seats are up for grabs.

Council President John Bacchione seeks the Republican nomination for mayor, while community advocate Kia Phua is running for the Democratic spot.
Councilmen Keith Buscio and Thomas Grosse are seeking another term as the Republican nominees. They are joined by Berkeley Township Board of Education member Douglas Bowens. Seeking the Democratic nomination are Mary K. Curtis, Alexis K. Loftus and Frank D. DeMaio, IV.

Note that these numbers are unofficial until certified by the Ocean County Clerk's Office.
All are running unopposed, but here are the individual numbers, with 41 out of 41 districts reporting.
Republican primary:
- John Bacchione - 2,881
- Keith Buscio - 2,805
- Thomas Grosse - 2,723
- Douglas Bowens - 2,722
Democrat primary:
- Kia Phua - 1,303
- Mary K. Curtis - 1,298
- Alexis K. Loftus - 1,282
- Frank D. DeMaio, IV - 1,300
