Berkeley, Central School Board Race Results

BERKELEY, NJ — The election races for the Berkeley Township Board of Education and the Central Regional Board of Education were uncontested on Tuesday, and here are the preliminary vote totals for the races.
According to unofficial results from the Ocean County Board of Elections, in the Berkeley Township school board race, John MacMoyle received 8,225 votes, Douglas Bowens 8,219, and Keith Fisher 8,010 for the three available three-year terms.
In the Central Regional race, incumbent George Dohn received 8,715 votes and Al Aires 8,703, for the two, three-year terms, and Denise Pavone-Wilson received 9,142 in her pursuit of a one-year unexpired term.

In Ocean Gate, incumbent Mayor Paul J. Kennedy received 386 votes, while a write-in candidate received 308 votes. Republicans Dave Kendrick and Laura Padham-Iaria received 505 and 507 votes respectively in their unopposed bids to return to the council.
In Pine Beach, Republicans Robert Budesa (806) and James Saxton (768) were boosted to seats on the Borough Council.
