Recycling May Be Delayed In Berkeley, Officials Say

For a number of reasons, Robo-trucks have broken down and residents may see a few extra days before their recycling is picked up.

BERKELEY, NJ — If you haven't had your recycling picked up yet this week, you may need to be patient.

The Department of Public Works Division of Sanitation and Recycling shared a message that "due to the extreme weather conditions, and the tragic event earlier this summer, they have had a number of Robo-trucks break down."

The tragic event the DPW is referring to is the death of worker David Mello Jr., who was killed last month when his garbage truck overturned on the Garden State Parkway.
