Schools Get Thousands From Berkeley, Brick Summer Carnival Revenue

Several location schools were presented with checks of more than $1,500, thanks to revenue from the Brick Central Summertime Carnival.

BERKELEY, NJ — Students got off to a strong start this school year with donations from the Central Regional Board of Education and CR Foundation.

"The Board of Education wanted all of its current and future students to be successful," explained Dr. Tom Parlapanides, the district superintendent.

Over the summer, the first- ever Brick Central Summertime Carnival, BCC, was held to raise money for both schools.

Still, while there are plans to improve the carnival for next summer, each of Central Regional's sending districts (plus Brick) received a check of $1,589.88.

The funds helped students get off to a great start after two years of Covid, Parlapanides said.

  • Clara B. Worth PTA
  • H & M Potter PTA
  • Bayville PTA
  • Central Regional PTA
  • Ocean Gate PTA
  • Island Heights Foundation
  • Brick Township PTA
